1 to 1 Tutoring can customize the following features:

- Arizona certified instructors, with valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Cards. Tutors will be certified in grade level and content area being delivered.
- Dedicated supervisor at each school location to act as a point of contact, problem solve, and ensure high quality of instruction.
- 400+ tutors in the valley on staff; we can be quickly operational with any size program and provide substitutes at a moment’s notice. This is vital with the current COVID-19 outbreak.
- Staff will abide by all COVID-19 school protocols. Rapid tests are provided for tutors if symptoms arise or if they have close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID.
- Instruction provided in Reading, Writing and Math.
- Variety of research-proven instructional materials, aligned with Arizona State Standards, and matched to the specific needs of each student. Curriculum materials include Steck-Vaugn, McGraw-Hill, Triumph, Curriculum Associates, Teacher Created Materials, Pearson and Evan Moor
- Pre-, interim, and post-assessments using Renaissance, iReady or AimswebPlus diagnostics. Assessments are given digitally to provide real-time results with all data stored to measure progress.
- Instruction is “hands-on” with tutors guiding students to mastery with direct instruction and active engagement during sessions, using an “oldschool” approach rather than relying on digital learning programs for tutoring. It is more work, but students learn faster and have fun!
- Student Learning Plans for each student document assessment data, curriculum applied, goals, progress, and monitoring dates.
- Students are provided with their own Learning Bags to keep materials and resources.
- OASES Online software is used to store all data, including attendance, assessment results, student learning plans, lesson plans, progress reports, and eligibility paperwork. This software can be accessed by district and school leaders to review students being served. OASES will be updated daily by staff and is available 24/7.
- Attendance sheets are maintained to ensure proper documentation of participation.
- Staff will clock in and out via OASES.
- End of year report: This report includes student assessment results, games, and cumulative school gains by grade level and subject.
- At the outset of tutoring, we meet with school leaders to identify eligible students and determine needs. After an initial meeting, email is used for communication
- Meeting with parents of eligible students to explain the benefits of tutoring. Obtain a completed permission slip if the parent chooses to tutor. Bilingual staff members are also available as needed.
- Monthly, easy-to-understand, written reports to parents via preferred method of communication in the native language.
- Bi-weekly reports to school and teacher.
